3+1 TIPS TO MAKE EXERCISE A DAILY HABIT

By Christina Vantsi, gymnast and creator of the home exercise program “STRONG BODY”

Whether you just started working out at home, signed up for a gym membership, decided to join a sports team, or managed to get your own personal trainer, it’s hard enough to stay consistent and make exercise a positive, daily habit.
If you are thinking of giving up, keep reading and you will discover my top tips to stay consistent with your workouts.

JUST START

Why do you have such a hard time starting your first workout? Are you wondering which day of the week to work out? If you’re going to work out right after work? If you have the right equipment? All you really need to do is put on your trainers and your comfortable sports clothes, grab your post-workout protein shake (Muscle recovery is just as important as exercise!), and get started.
If you feel that a 45-minute fitness program is too long for the first time, start with just a few minutes! A few minutes are enough for you to feel confident and continue the next day with more.

CONCENTRATE ON YOUR OWN PROGRESS

Even if you started working out with great enthusiasm, there will come times when you will not want to get up from the sofa, you will feel tired or even disappointed. Remember that it’s okay to miss a workout. Just try to stay consistent with your daily exercise routine. Even for just a few minutes. These few minutes are a small victory for you!
Your body is unique and your journey to wellness is full of different experiences. Why compare your own effort or progress with someone else’s?

HAVE FUN

As a champion swimmer, I did up to 3 workouts a day. None of them lacked music and dancing. So create a long list of songs that entertain you and choose a fitness program you will happily follow. A fitness program that your body and soul will look forward to!

SHARE THE JOURNEY

You are not alone in your quest for a stronger body! Obviously, no one else can complete a fitness program for you, but they can certainly support you or even accompany you. Your family, friends, trainer, and even the AMINO ANIMO community are here whenever you think of giving up!

As hard as it may seem to start working out, think of those who have already done it. Those you see and admire were once in your position. Shall we begin?
